Just as the caterpillar cannot imagine the butterfly, so has been my experience of the Leadership and Life Coach Training Program for Women in Faith-Based Ministries.  I stepped onto its path with a desire to learn how to accompany others on the journey of personal and spiritual transformation.  I had no idea of how personally transforming it would be!  Engaging with faith-filled women from our global community through webinars, offered an abundance of life-changing experiences.  If you want to connect with your essence and engage with others who desire the same, step onto the path and into this incredible, intentional community.

I am truly honored to be part of this wonderful coaching program.  The students bring a great variety of experience and insight to the program, which makes it so easy to be one of the instructors.  The best part is that they are all so positive and caring for everyone involved in the program.  There is nothing better than getting emails from the students that include blessings which I always need.

The Leadership and Life Coach Training is a remarkable program for women in faith-based ministries.  The program has become an incredible value not only to its students, but also to the communities they serve. I have been involved as an instructor and assisting with various tasks for the program for several years and must say that I have had the gracious opportunity to grow my skill sets, and to enjoy different perspectives and lifestyles. The program presents an extraordinary space for women to become coaches and move forward in their professional development as well as their personal transformation as individuals. I applaud the leaders, staff and all those associated with this wonderful training program to change the world, one person, one coach at a time.

Erroline Williams, EdD, PCC (Faculty)

Because the Leadership and Life Coach Training Program is accredited by ICF, we can trust that we will graduate from a high-quality program and be able to present ourselves as credible and ethical practitioners. I valued the faith-based and community-building aspect of the program. Directors and faculty were outstanding in their availability, their openness, their support, and in their ability to challenge students. I also appreciated the accessibility of the program via Zoom.

The Leadership and Life Coach Training Program is unique and powerful. By integrating spirituality with the science and practices of professional coaching, this program facilitates a learning community where future coaches share experience and gain the skills and knowledge, they need to transform themselves and communities across the world!

Over the years, my orientation as a psychotherapist has moved from a more problem-solving focus to a strength-based resilience focus. Coaching has allowed me to continue this orientation providing me with the tools, skills, and opportunity for reflection to engage in this transformative work.

It’s in the questions! This coaching program teaches curious, empathic, caring people to ask great questions. Why? So, they can assist people in realizing their deepest desires and encourage them to take action toward achieving their goals. Surrounded by excellent coaches who facilitate careful learning through lectures, practice sessions, mentors, and well-structured

assignments, the Leadership and Life Coach Training Program partners with learners as together they move the cohort toward becoming capable and confident coaches to serve a world that can be transformed through their work. The two-year program helped me launch a coaching practice!

In a complex, sometimes impersonal and antagonistic world fraught with suspicion and xenophobia, there is a beacon of light and justice, inclusion and community in the Benedictine Coaching program. Coaching and mentoring women religious to live up to the potential that God has given them in a consortium with other candidates, from other nationalities is a unique gift of the program, not only to themselves for personal growth but to their faith communities as well. Kudos to the first-class qualified staff and the all-encompassing support of the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh.

Anne Shepard, OSB, EdD (Board Member)

Taking the Leadership and Life Coach Training Program with the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I was looking for some type of instruction in leadership, but really knew nothing about life coaching. After a hard nudge from the Holy Spirit, a lot of research and some intense discernment, I was willing to give it a try. My journey through the program has enabled me to develop new skills that I can use as I pursue a part-time ministry in coaching others. The three founding directors, Sisters Susan, Roberta, and Evelyn and faculty have constructed a well-organized learning path that included assignments, books, and instructional materials that lead me on a wonderful journey of self-discovery, confidence, and over-all well-being.

The coaching practice I experienced with my cohort-companions was very rewarding in my learning process and provided me with two years of being coached. This was the surprise I wasn’t expecting, which has literally been a life-changing experience! It was powerfully incorporated into my spiritual journey that was filled with a deep understanding about myself and how I relate to the world around me, both in relationships with others including motherhood and my marriage of 53 years. I highly recommend this program to anyone with a love of learning and a desire to help others find their way through this world of endless possibilities. You’ll find yourself blessed to join a community of like-minded, special women who are in search of how to make the world a better place.

The Leadership and Life Coach Training Program has been such a gift to me as I was elected to Community leadership soon after the program began.  As a new leader I became aware of skills needed to fulflll my new role and this is exactly what the coaching program did.  The emphasis is on developing and enhancing an individual’s strengths and gifts. The various presentations, group-sharing, practice-coaching, readings and reflections deepened my insight into myself and others.  They helped me to appreciate the diversity of gifts among my cohort members.  Journaling has always been important in my life; it is a way of documenting areas of growth and help with ongoing planning in my life.  The formation of community that we experienced with the faculty and participants is a gift that I will always treasure!
